A Life lived to the fullest
Our mom and dad were a team .Dad supported her art career in so many ways ,as she did his .He tirelessly matted and framed all the works exhibited, then drove Mom to the shows and workshops all over new England .Lucy was always a Mom to us 3 kids first and for most ,"Art" would happen when we were at school or on Friday nights when she ran a portrait drawing workshop . In that workshop ,models who volunteered would be friends ,family or interesting people she would meet on the street .That workshop open to all ran for almost ten yearsIn time ,as we kids all went our separate ways she had more time to devote to private lessons and painting trips to Maine with friends . Her curiosity and zest for life kept her adventurous. Exploring back roads along the coast and even making her own paints from plants .She passed on so much to future generations of creative thinkers and those who appreciate art .The world is richer because of her.
